Dr. Ethan McEnroe is a 1st generation American raised in Bakersfield, CA. His dad is a dairy veterinarian and he spent lots of his time growing up riding along with him to farm calls. He distinctly remembers his dad reading him bedtime stories from James Herriot as a kid and knew from an early age that he wanted to be a vet when he grew up. Dr. McEnroe obtained his bachelor’s degree in Animal Science from Chico State. Between undergrad and vet school he worked as a veterinary assistant and a K-12 substitute teacher. He received his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine degree from UC Davis in 2018. He then worked in northern California at a mixed-animal practice for several years until relocating to the Central Coast in summer of 2021.
Dr. McEnroe spends his free time hanging out with his wife (also a veterinarian) and their menagerie of pets including two chocolate labs, a border collie, three cats and two horses. He enjoys horseback riding, surfing, golfing and working with his wife on their property.
